SCLEROTHERAPY

Sclerotherapy - is the treatment of spider veins in the legs. A concentrated solution of saline (23.4% sodium chloride) is injected into the vein causing the lining of the blood vessel to collapse. This collapse causes the vein to slowly fade over time, as the body's own immune system removes the damaged lining. To achieve complete fading could require 2-6 treatments; however, individual success rates will vary. Treatments are recommended at 3-5 week intervals. The V-Beam laser can be used to compliment this treatment.
